Carla first fell in love with Cocker Spaniels after she received her first Cocker Spaniel, Snuggles, when she was just a kid in grade school. Ever since then, she has had an unconditional love for the breed. Carla has a diploma in rehabilitation (Dip. RP), an undergraduate degree in Community Rehabilitation (BCR), has completed the first year of graduate work in counselling (M.Ed.), and is just finishing up a graduate degree (M.Sc.) in Educational Psychology. . She will charter as a psychologist in the upcoming year. Carla has worked as a school counsellor for the past ten years and recently moved into an administrative and clinical supervisory role and now supervises 25 other school counsellors. Apart from spending time with her dogs, Carla is an avid traveller and has travelled to over 30 countries in her lifetime.
