Adoption Questionnaire

If you're interested in an Echo Ridge Cocker Spaniel, there are some very specific things we look for when screening potential adoptive families.

First, we only adopt our puppies to families within driving distance of our home in Central Alberta, Canada. Under no circumstances do we ship our puppies.

Second, we look for homes where there is someone with the dog during most of the day. We love placing our puppies with retired people, people who work out of their homes, people who take their dogs to work, or families with stay-at-home moms.

Third, we prefer to only place our puppies with families whose youngest child is at least five. Although Cocker Spaniels love kids, we have found that it works out best if the kids are at least five or six years old before introducing a new puppy into a home.

Fourth, we prefer adoptive families who have had Cocker Spaniels before.

And fifth, we are looking for adoptive families who will stay in touch with us after they have adopted one of our puppies. If you're looking for a quick purchase where you never talk to us again, we're probably not the breeder for you.
